Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join a busy HR team within Glasgow City Council. As an HR Officer you will be instrumental in implementing HR strategies, policies and practices and support the workforce to be fully engaged with all that Glasgow City Council has to offer. Working in a complex and dynamic landscape with multiple stakeholders and employees, the candidate will have outstanding people skills and be passionate about the role early intervention and good practice can play in creating a healthy work environment.
You will provide specialist knowledge, support, advice, and guidance in relation to HR policies and procedures to Service Managers and employees on all aspects of Employee Relations.
The successful candidate will play an integral part in the implementation of the Health & Wellbeing Strategy, working with the service users and stakeholders to create lasting cultural change.
You should be organised and have good communication and administration skills, be proactive at problem solving and be able to make decisions based on information provided. You will have previous experience within an HR function and a desire to create a positive working environment. Possession of CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent is essential and a current driving licence is desirable.
You will work as part of a team.
