Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Lead Advocate to join our ASSIST and Domestic Abuse service on a fixed-term basis for a period of up to 12 months.

Position Details
ASSIST is an accredited Independent Domestic Abuse Advocacy service which works in close partnership with Police Scotland, COPFS and other statutory and voluntary partner agencies to support the delivery of a pro-active, rapid, and stream-lined response to those affected by domestic abuse, and who are interacting with the criminal justice system. ASSIST uses risk assessment and safety planning processes to ensure the client is at the centre of interventions.
The Lead Advocate will be the first point of contact for Advocacy Workers and Children and Young Persons Advocacy Workers in the provision of the ASSIST service to clients, primarily via telephone. The Lead Advocate will also complete an initial review of all ASSIST client intake to identify and focus on those most at risk.

Work Pattern: To be worked across Monday - Friday
Annual Salary: £27,169.99 - £32,655.71 on an incremental scale

ASSIST staff are co-located in Police stations in East Kilbride, Kilmarnock, Paisley, and Dumbarton as well as having their main office in Glasgow. The location of the post will be discussed during the interview process.
