Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for up to 9 LES Driver 3s to join our Recycling, Streetscene and Waste service on a permanent basis.

Position Details
In this role you will drive and be responsible for any allocated large refuse collection vehicle, including planning and organising journeys; completing journeys timeously utilising best routes; carrying out routine vehicle checks and monitoring vehicle performance; transport people, goods, and materials; carry out associated labouring activities; and complete all relevant paperwork.
Good communication skills and approach to dealing with the public, the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situations are key attributes to be successful in the role.

A current LGV licence, Category C and a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) are essential requirements of the role.
Contract Details
Weekly Hours: an average of 37 hours plus 3.5 hours contractual overtime per week
Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern operating between the hours of 6:30am – 6:30pm
Annual Salary: £22,961.65 - £24,494.21 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,018 per annum and a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,088 per annum.

As part of the pre-employment checks for this post the successful candidate(s) will require to undergo a pre-employment medical and GP clearance to confirm fitness to drive, along with the satisfactory completion of a drivers assessment.
