Job Description

NRS Fleet Services is responsible for the maintenance of the council's Vehicle Fleet Licence. Currently the vehicle workshop is located at Jessie Street. Vehicles maintained and repaired range from HGV to Light vehicles and also includes a fleet of Electric cars and vans

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to assist with identifying and rectifying faults, conducting pre and post inspections, carry out maintenance and repairs to light and heavy vehicles and contribute to a clean and safe working environment and maintain positive working relationships with fellow workers.

Key Skills

Positive attitude, willing to study, hard working, good communication skills, ability to work individually or as part of a team, good hand/eye coordination, ability to work through problems and operate tools and equipment safely to the required standard. You will need to demonstrate that you can receive and understand instructions effectively and follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Education, Qualifications and Training

Minimum of 4 national 5. (C+) English, Maths and science subject desirable

Experience & Knowledge

Interest in working with vehicles, work experience in vehicle industry. Driving licence or provisional. Full training will be provided so not essential.
