Job Description
The Project Support Officer will help tackle Glasgow's vacant and derelict land.
Working within the Place Based Investment Programme team, the officer will focus on two Scottish Government funding streams, the Vacant and Derelict Land Fund (VDLF) and Vacant and Derelict Land Investment Programme (VDLIP), which are used to achieve key Council objectives.
The officer will also be involved in proactively gathering evidence, identifying sites and developing proposals that will contribute to tackling these issues. This evidence gathering also forms part of the annual Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey which is a statutory requirement from Scottish Government; the officer will lead this Survey.
An HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (project management, economic development, social science), or equivalent experience is essential.
A current driving licence and project management experience are desirable.
