Job Purpose: To co-ordinate and manage activity to deliver the team’s functional priorities:

  • Area Committee Support and delivery of Corporate Priorities
  • Community Involvement and Development
  • Poverty, Equality and Inequality
  • Partnerships

To manage activity related to the implementation of the Community Empowerment Act and the Council’s ‘Placed Based approach’, including leadership within Community Partnerships, co-ordinating the Council’s role in place planning and empowering communities to take forward and deliver local priorities.

The post holder will also provide support within the organisation, directly to elected Members through support of Area Committees and to wider Council services through the co-ordination of cross-service projects and provision of advice and guidance on key local community issues.

The post will be part of the Community Support and Engagement team and will work across the West and Mid area. The post holder will work as part of the wider area-based team to manage projects and activity across the area

Requirements

Educated to degree level or relevant professional qualification OR Demonstrate evidence of degree level of educational ability through experience of working in an equivalent job role.
