Job Purpose:
- To develop, manage and implement the co-ordination and provision of CDM for property-related construction projects.
- To undertake CDM Advisor to Principal Designer / Client Advisor duties and evaluate / review performance of external CDM Advisor consultant resources via their appointment and commission delivery.
- To advise and assist officers within the Council who act in CDM specific roles of Client, Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractor.
- To review and monitor CDM training provided to, and develop procedures for, internal professional and technical staff engaged in the construction, maintenance and management of Council owned or occupied property.

Requirements
You will hold a Degree qualification in a relevant Construction subject or equivalent, or be able to provide evidence of experience and qualifications of equivalent status.
Chartered Membership of a recognised construction related institution (i.e. CIBSE, ICE, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIAT or equivalent).
Registered Member of the Association for Project Safety: Registered CDM-C (R.MaPS) or equivalent.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
