Job Purpose: Are you a leader with commitment, drive and passion to deliver outstanding services for the infants, children, young people and families of Highland? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional lead nurse to working within Child Health across the Highland Health and Social Care Partnership. The Lead Nurse will provide visible professional leadership to the nursing families within Child Health and will work closely with the Lead Allied Health Professional and the Principal Officer for Social work, creating an environment of continuous quality improvement and professional development. You will directly line manage the Family Nurse Partnership team, be accountable for the provision of effective professional nursing leadership to the nursing families within Child Health and be responsible for a number of key delivery areas within child health including the implementation of the NHS Highland professional assurance framework, the Health and Care (Scotland) Staff Act 2019 and the Nursing 2030 Vision. You will work closely with the NMAHP leadership team within NHS Highland ensuring professional cohesion, collaboration and synergy across the Highland Health and Social Care Partnership.

Requirements

Registered Nurse, with NMC.

Educated to degree level and working towards Masters degree or demonstrate development at this level.

Experience of Professional Leadership at Senior Nurse Level and can evidence the ability to meet the competencies and leadership required at senior nurse level.
