Salary:          £24,523 - £28,707 p.a. (£40,872 - £47,846 pro rata)

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job  Purpose: Seeking a dynamic health professional with a postgraduate child welfare and protection certificate (or willingness to work towards completion) who has a proven track record in the development and delivery of training. Who will have extensive knowledge of current national priorities and drivers within the child protection arena, impacting on the multi-agency audience whilst considering the particular needs of health staff. Who should be able to provide health staff with advice and guidance when dealing with complex child protection issues. Who will be the agency decision maker representing health at the inter-agency referral discussion (IRD)

Requirements

  • Registration on appropriate parts of a Professional Register (NMC/ AHP).
  • Specialist Nursing qualification (Health Visitor/School Nurse) or equivalent recognised and relevant clinical qualification or extensive evidenced based relevant experience.
  • Child Welfare and Protection Post Graduate Certificate/ MSc.
  • The postholder should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the job.
