Job Purpose: To facilitate, deliver and assess Scottish Vocational Qualifications and Modern Apprenticeships in Social Care as well as other qualifications you may be occupationally competent for The Highland Council.
Working in the L&D SVQ team, acting as learning and development professional in the Council in all matters relating to SVQ/MA delivery of Social Care, plus other SVQ/MA delivery.
To design, deliver and evaluate training for learners to meet Council priorities and support strategic programmes and initiatives.
To develop programmes of training, both face to face and digitally (including co-ordination of external training where appropriate) to meet identified needs of learners.
You will work as part of a team to support business improvement and deliver an efficient and effective service.

Requirements
Experience in Social Care roles which can evidenced through SSSC registrable qualifications minimum 2 years, levels 2 – 4.
Knowledge of the Social Services and Healthcare SVQ qualifications.
Hold a relevant assessor qualification or willing to undertake a SQA assessor qualification to be completed in the first year in post.
Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel throughout the Highlands.
