Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: This general paediatric band 5 Occupational Therapist post will be based with the OT and wider AHP team in The Pines, Drummond Road, Inverness. 

 There will be lots of opportunities to work out and about in the surrounding areas and get to know the team and what we do over the North Highland area.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide an efficient and effective, community based, Occupational Therapy service to children and young people on their personal caseload, in the most appropriate location e.g., home, clinic, nursery, school either virtually or in person
  • Working closely colleagues from within the umbrella of Health and Social Care within Highland Council.
  • Take an active part in skill sharing both virtually and in person with children and young people, parents and carers, education staff, colleagues and other partners to the team around the child/young person.
  • Actively participate in supervision and support, where appropriate providing support to Occupational Therapy students.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy or Degree Equivalent Diploma, dependent on when trained.

Registration with the Health Professions Council

 Competent driving skills and a clean driving licence
