Location: Fort William
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £46,191 - £50,505 p.a.

Job Purpose: The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of work activities including the supervision of staff in the provision of a building standards and verification function within an area Planning and Building Standards Office.

Deputise for the Building Standards Team Leader on building standards matters as and when required.

Requirements

Have access to personal transport; and possess a Full UK Driving Licence.

Corporate membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an appropriate professional Institute.

Educated to Degree level in an appropriate discipline or HND/HNC in a construction related discipline.

Extensive technical and theoretical knowledge of building standards legislation and construction techniques.
