Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated, trainee school nurse to join our teams in Inverness. The post is full time – 37.5 hours. You will work for The Highland Council with Agenda for Change terms and conditions. You will undertake a Masters/MSc, Advancing Practice School Nursing.
The school nurse role will have focus on prevention, early intervention, and support for the most vulnerable children over five years who are been identified as being at risk. The school nurse role will concentrate primarily on ten priority areas under the overall headings of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk-taking behaviour.
The service is provided in a variety of settings, particularly in schools but also within the communities, clients’ homes, and other community settings.
Once qualified, you will be working as an autonomous practitioner with families, young children, and vulnerable individuals, this means you must be approachable, friendly and have excellent communication skills. Time management and organizational skills are essential.
