We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a busy team of Statutory Meeting Co-Ordinators.

The post holder will as part of their role co-ordinate and take minutes for the statutory meetings held within Adult Services – 34 hours, working hours negotiable.

The post will be hybrid working with the expectation that when meetings take place these will be face to face.

Educational
Essential:
The Jobholder requires a minimum qualification to HNC/ SVQ3 level in business studies, office management or administration or an acceptable equivalent qualification and/or extensive demonstrative experience to this level in one of the identified disciplines would be an acceptable alternative.
Experience
Essential:
To be competent in the role the Jobholder must have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of the various systems and software including Microsoft packages. S/he must also have previous experience of working to strict deadlines, co-ordinating and taking minutes and producing complex documents. S/he must also be able to type at speed.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 34 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £25,671.52 per annum.

Requirements

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children & Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and/or protected adults.

Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children & Protected Adults. You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
