An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Gateway Lanarkshire Team.
Reporting directly to the Enterprise Development Officer (Business Gateway), the Business Adviser role will have responsibility for delivering Business Gateway services throughout the Lanarkshire area and on behalf of North and South Lanarkshire Council.
The Business Adviser will be responsible for growing and servicing a portfolio of Prestart, growth start-up and existing business clients. Working as part of a team, the Business Adviser will engage with the business community, other Council services, partners, stakeholders, funders and business organisations to actively promote North and South Lanarkshire as a place to do business, invest, work, live, visit and host events.
Educated to Degree/SVQ4/HND or equivalent level in a relevant discipline, the candidate is required to have moderate relevant work experience in an economic development, regeneration or an enterprise/business related context AND/OR running your own business. With strong organisational and excellent communication skills, they should demonstrate a high personal drive and motivation to deliver a range of key activities to meet the Business Gateway Objectives.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team who currently operate a hybrid working model of home-working and office-based working at the Daziel Building in Motherwell.

Working Pattern
- Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break)
- Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
