Community Learning & Development Support Worker (DofE)

NLC7 £25,980 - £28,635

Working as part of our Community Learning and Development (CLD) team, you will be required to support our core functions of Lifelong Learning, Community Capacity Building and Youth Work. As a CLD Support Worker (Duke of Edinburgh's Award), you will support the delivery of youth accreditation, through the use of outdoor learning and expeditions, to develop participants' personal and social skills.

An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have an awareness of current national and local developments within CLD and outdoor learning. Successful candidates will have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

You must have relevant qualifications at SCQF level 5 and above, or equivalent, and previous extended experience of working within a relevant CLD or outdoor education environment including developing and delivering community-based work with young people or adults.

The post is primarily to support the operations of the CLD Outdoor Learning Store based in Coatbridge and will require the post holder to maintain, distribute and coordinate outdoor equipment that supports the delivery of CLD outdoor learning. The CLD Support Worker will be line managed by the CLD Duke of Edinburgh Worker. The successful candidate will be required to undertake training associated with the post.
