Job Description

NLC6 £24,234,- £25,980 (Pro Rata)

Reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Manager you will be responsible for supporting, teaching and implementing health development programmes across North Lanarkshire linked directly to child, young person and adult weight management interventions.

You will work closely with internal and external agencies to ensure the delivery of interventions and programmes with the aim to address health inequalities, increase and maintain recommended levels of physical activity to help support residents of North Lanarkshire to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

You will have experience of health improvement programmes at a local level with the knowledge to collate data. You will require to hold a minimum REPS Level 2 qualification and extensive experience in teaching health development programmes and initiatives, as well as excellent knowledge and understanding of all aspects of health and wellbeing development across a number of disciplines.

As a requirement of this post, the successful candidate must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Please note this post is temporary for a 12 month period.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
