An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Talent and Organisational Development Team as a Talent and OD Business Partner (Early Careers).

We are seeking an individual with significant experience in working in an early careers environment who can advise, support and drive an early careers’ strategy to support our workforce for the future ambitions. You’ll have a creative mindset and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead the early careers’ team to develop innovative approaches to enhancing and building on the successful Modern Apprenticeship programme, Graduate Apprenticeship programme and the student placement framework as well as all other areas of early careers’ development.

This role will regularly liaise with all service areas to understand the business dynamics at a local level to provide guidance and solutions to a range of early career’s projects including supporting workforce planning requirements and bringing a greater focus to talent development, career pathways and succession planning. All of this key to ensuring that the Council has a workforce ready to deliver our ambitious operating model that puts local people and communities at the heart of our service delivery arrangements.

With a degree level or equivalent qualification and substantial experience in an organisation development, early careers, or business environment. You should have excellent communication and facilitation skills, be able to apply the principles of design thinking, demonstrable project management skills, and ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.

You will be joining a vibrant team that work a hybrid model of office/site based and homeworking.
