Administrative Officer (Enterprise and Economic Growth)

£27,853 - £28,455 / £15.26 - £15.59 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for a motivated individual to take up the position of the Administrative Officer within the Enterprise and Economic Growth team embedded within the Economic Development team.

The successful candidate will provide all aspects of administrative support to the Economic Development team as required. This will include direct working with the team to support customer and client project work associated with the Council's economic development and community development fund, Business Gateway Service and other project and programme activities. The post holder will also work closely with the Team Manager, Business Support and Enterprise Manager to ensure a high level of business support is provided.

You will ideally already have experience of working as an effective team member within an administration team, have excellent administration and computer skills, ideally using Microsoft Office applications. In all cases you will need to be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, use your own initiative, maintain confidentiality and be able to work unsupervised. We are looking for a good communicator and with excellent organisational skills as you will be part of a team liaising with a wide range of customers.

You should hold an SVQ level 3/HNC or equivalent level qualification in Business Studies/Administration or Accountancy (SCQF level 6) or, where the essential qualification is not held, a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a relevant administrative role is required.
