29 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term-time only

£28,034 - £28,632 pro rata / £14.53 - £14.84 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Our Cook Supervisor at Glaitness School has recently been promoted and we are now on the hunt for someone with a passion for catering.

Applications are invited from motivated individuals to undertake duties as the cook supervisor responsible for the provision of the school meal service at Glaitness School. Duties include preparation, cooking and service of food, supervision of staff, menu planning, ordering of provisions, ensuring all aspects of service provision complies with food safety and completion of associated records, cash handling and liaising with school staff, parents, and pupils.

You must hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent. You should also have a Professional cookery qualification at SVQ level 3 or at least 3 years' equivalent experience within the catering sector.

This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
