£26,666 - £27,232 / £14.61 - £14.92 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Orkney Islands Council is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Information Administrator to join the Council’s Governance team.

You will provide comprehensive administrative support within the Information Governance service and facilitate the efficient delivery and continuous improvement of services.

You will be the main contact point for providing information to Services, directing and prioritising queries on all aspects of Information Governance, including Freedom of Information requests, Subject Access Requests, Complaints and Data Protection.

You will manage Information Governance email boxes, be responsible for maintaining databases and assist in compiling statistics.

You should hold an SVQ3 or equivalent SCQF level 6 qualification in administration or other relevant subject. OR Where the essential qualification is not held, a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an administrative role is required

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
