37 hours per week (working on a week on week off shift pattern)

£24,553 - £25,614 (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for a permanent Isles Operative for Rousay, to assist the Team Leader Operations in the delivery of safe, compliant, effective and efficient Planned, Cyclical, Reactive and Emergency works undertaken by the Roads and Grounds workforce.

You will assist in the delivery of a range of activities relating to the maintenance of the islands roads including pot hole repairs, drainage, verge works, signing, lining etc.
You will also assist with the delivery of gritting and, where required, reactive repairs associated with flooding and storm damage.

You would be required to hold a current driver’s licence which allows the operation of vehicles towing a trailer up to a combined weight minimum level ClassC1+E 8.25 GVW.
