Relief Lifeguard

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£12.17 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked, where appropriate

Relief Lifeguards are sought, to effectively carry out the operational procedures of the pool, fitness centre and squash court facilities, and assist the management team as required. You will be expected to work shifts, covering school and public sessions throughout the opening hours.

A current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential or, where this is not held, you must be willing to achieve this qualification within 6 months of appointment. Other relevant coaching qualifications would be an advantage.

You will be carrying out a swimming teacher/coaching role and training is available. You should be able to work as part of a team, providing an excellent standard of cleanliness and customer care. A HSE First Aid qualification and knowledge of pool water treatment and operations would be an advantage.

This role is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
