You will be reporting to Head of Enterprise and Economic Growth.

Your working pattern is 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. We are happy to consider flexible working, where possible.

The purpose of this role is to lead, manage and develop core service delivery, high standards, continual improvement and the delivery of a culture of high performance and support the Head of Service in the strategic direction of the Enterprise Service.

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to manage and develop a broad portfolio of services, driving high standards, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of performance. This role supports the Head of Service in shaping the strategic direction of key areas including Economic Development, Business Gateway, Sustainable Tourism, Community Led Local Development, Arts Funding, and major regeneration and investment programmes.

As Service Manager, you will build strong relationships with partners across the public, private and third sectors, engage with communities, and lead the development of strategic documents and funding proposals. You will oversee consultant activity, secure and manage internal and external funding streams, ensure robust financial governance, and contribute to corporate and government consultation processes. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Orkney’s economic and community development.
