The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.
You will be reporting to the Head of Marine Services and Transportation.
Your working pattern is 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.
The purpose of this role is to lead, manage and develop core service delivery, high standards, continual improvement and delivery of a culture of high performance. The role will support the Head of Marine Services and Transportation in the strategic direction of the service.
This is a key role responsible for shaping the future of transportation across the area, ensuring the provision of safe, sustainable and high-quality services for our communities.
You will lead the development and delivery of transport strategies, policies and major programmes, including the public bus and inter-island air services contracts, airfield operations and the Ferry Replacement Programme.
Working closely with elected members, government agencies and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in securing investment, influencing policy and delivering long-term infrastructure improvements.
