£34,732 - £38,017 pro-rata / £19.03 - £20.83 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

UHI Orkney is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and industry experienced person to join our pro-active Hospitality team. You will be instructing students at various levels, using appropriate methods of assessment on various issues of professional cooking and hospitality.

Applicants must be educated to at least HNC/SVQ3, or an equivalent SCQF level 6 qualification, in a relevant subject area, and recent experience of instructing others within the relevant curriculum area. Up to date industrial experience and knowledge of good educational practice are also required.

If you do not currently hold Assessor and Verifier Awards, you will be required to achieve these within 12 months of appointment. Also, you should hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent) or commit to achieving this if you currently hold your Elementary Food Hygiene qualification.   

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
