£28,249 - £30,351 (Whole Year working, 45 week model)

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, child centred individual to join our large, friendly and welcoming team.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility in approaches to meet a range of learner needs.

The individual appointed will be able to listen to, and be responsive to, learner needs demonstrating the skills, qualities and enthusiasm to further develop and build on the existing high standards of learner experiences within our school.

The successful candidate will be committed to continually enhancing knowledge and skills through working collegiately and through CPD.

The ability to work independently and as part of the team is essential.  The successful candidate will join a dedicated team at RDM who are committed to providing an excellent education for all young people and promote an ethos of inclusion.

Our aim is to provide excellent child-centred Early Learning and Childcare which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity.

Early Childhood Practitioners on 45 week contracts will be required to work 45 weeks of the year.  45 week settings are closed 2 weeks at Christmas and remain open the 1st week of October, 1st week of Easter, the first 3 weeks of the summer and for some public and occasional holidays.  Early Childhood Practitioners working in 45 week settings may be required to work alternating shift patterns to meet the needs of the settings operational hours and in agreement with their line manager.

The Individual

You must have SNNEB, NNEB, SVQ3, SCQF7, or HNC in Childcare and Education or equivalent. You must have, or be eligible for, registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.

The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a positive and flexible approach to working with young children and parents is required.
