We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused individual to join IT’s Customer and Business Support Team (CBS) at Carpenter House and provide a broad range of frontline IT support services. 

This will include working with managers, internal customers and external suppliers, for which an organized approach, excellent communication skills and high quality customer focus is required.  

While there will be some opportunity for home working, provision of in-person services at Carpenter House is a requirement of this role.

Skills & Experience Required

You will be collaborative in your approach; supportive of colleagues in delivering a shared workload; quick to pick up new tasks / processes; and able to prioritise your own work to meet constantly changing demands.

If you have:

  • Very good interpersonal skills, a customer focussed approach and attitude and a desire to champion customers' issues within IT.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills, and an ability to convey complex concepts simply, clearly and accessibly.
  • The ability to multi-task successfully under pressure in a demanding environment: a flexible, organised attitude towards your work routine and the ability to plan your workload effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Some experience of / insight into procurement a specific public sector or IT context.
  • Experience in using a range of business systems, producing accurate and consistent work to a high standard.
  • A positive attitude to change and in contributing to service improvements.
  • A commitment to developing your own ICT / digital skills and knowledge, then we would like to hear from you.
