Pullar House, Perth
The Skills & Employment Support Team are recruiting for 3 Key Worker / Employment Support Advisors for Scottish Government funded Futures for Families project and/or wider Skills & Employment projects.
You will be working with clients from their first engagement with the programme.
You will support them with employability skills i.e. CV writing, job search and interview techniques, providing assistance to access additional funding for training and development, leading to sustainable, quality employment.
You will be dealing professionally with local businesses and forging relationships throughout the local employability network and key personnel within Perth and Kinross Council.
Skills & Experience Required
We are seeking empathetic, ambitious and highly motivated individuals to work with us on improving the lives of our clients.
A degree of employer engagement work is necessary for success in this initiative.
We are looking for a dynamic, customer focussed and engaging person.
Good communication and motivational skills are key to success in this role, in addition to being confident using Microsoft office packages i.e. Word and Excel.
It would be beneficial to have experience of working in employability providing support to both clients and businesses.
Professional and personable, you will represent the team and wider local authority on local forums, networks and events.
Confidentiality is key in building trust with clients and businesses alike.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
