£8,686 - £9,179 (15 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Guildtown Primary School
We are looking for a Pupil School Support Worker, working 15 hours per week (3hrs each day).
At Guildtown Primary School you will:
- Assist in promoting and raising the standards of children's experiences through the provision of quality support in school, providing pastoral support to the children.
- Support a range of pupils with additional needs including learning, communication and social barriers to learning.
- Support our learners achieve success, supporting learners with work directed by the class teacher and undertaking some 1-1 intervention work with pupils.
- Support the wider life of the school eg special seasonal events, trips etc
- Supervise children in and out of school premises during learning times and at breaks.
- Build good and trusting relationships with children and families and adhere to child protection and equalities legislation.
- Become a trained first aider and administer First Aid as required to children and staff.
You may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time depending on the requirements of the Service without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibilities entailed.
The Individual
Requirements:
- Good organisation and literacy skills.
- Ideally you will have knowledge of Child Protection procedures.
- Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a primary school.
- The ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents verbally and in writing.
- You will have a flexible attitude to sharing duties.
- You must be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
- You will be committed to the wider life of the school.
- You will contribute to the performance and good reputation of the school.
- You will demonstrate a willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
- You must be able to work independently and use your initiative.
- Be First Aid trained or willing to undergo First Aid training.
