Our Lady's RC Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Support Worker to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
From working with children and young people, to supporting the senior leadership team with administrative duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the school, the remit of the role is diverse with no two days the same.
The job family role profiles are attached. The role may focus on some aspects more than others at different times of the year, but there would be an expectation of flexibility based on the needs of the school.
Currently a particular focus of your role will be to provide targeted support to children and families to reduce the poverty-related attainment gap, ensuring all learners are fully included, engaged, and able to achieve their potential.
The successful postholder will work under the direction of school leadership to deliver interventions that improve attendance, wellbeing, engagement in learning, and family support.

Experience
Experience of working with children and young people (school, youth work, or community setting)
Experience of supporting families in challenging circumstances
Experience of delivering or supporting targeted interventions (e.g. literacy, numeracy, wellbeing, attendance)
Experience of working within a school or education setting (desirable)
Experience of supporting learners with additional support needs (ASN) (desirable).
