£18.29 per hour
City Base @Scott Street, Perth

An excellent opportunity is available to be part of the supply team working for Services for Young people over various shift patterns and hours which can be flexible dependant on your other commitments.

This post will be an integral part of the service who try to make a positive difference to young people’s lives who need a little extra support in their lives.

The team support young people aged 12-26 moving into adulthood toward greater independence.

Our young people face difficult challenges which require you to have understanding and commitment to working with complex needs and life challenges relating to homelessness, leaving care, asylum seeking and just being a young person in the current climate.

You should have direct experience in working with vulnerable or at risk young people, or, have transferable skills and knowledge about issues they may face and how you may help manage these within a team setting as well as autonomously.  

The Team promote the welfare of young people who are seeking greater independence and provide a professional service to a range of young people and significant people in their lives.  

We need to have skills in assessing need, managing risk, making recommendations, have a flexible, realistic and patient approach in preparing young people for the next steps.  

You need to be kind, caring and compassionate, as well as the ability and confidence to manage difficult behaviours at times.  

If you are able to make the commitments of the post, enjoy working with young people, have a good sense of humour, treat others with respect, empathy, are a good listener and have the ability to work in a professional context you could be perfect for the role.

You will have a Degree in CLD or equivalent which would be a diploma in CLD.
