Community Support Officers (Various Posts) based at 16 Mill Street, Paisley, PA1 1JU.

 

An opportunity has arisen within Communities and Public Protection (Renfrewshire Community Safety Hub) for motivated individuals to become Community Support Officers. You will carry out regular patrols throughout the area of the Council enforcing relevant environmental and decriminalised parking legislation, issue fixed penalty notices and actively address community safety and antisocial behaviour issues throughout Renfrewshire including youth crime.

 

Develop appropriate links with the community, local businesses and relevant agencies in respect of environmental and community safety issues. Carry out related educational and promotional activities, all to ensure safer communities and improve the environmental quality of life and the feeling of well-being across the Council area.

 

Close working relationships with partners, including Police Scotland will require to be maintained.

 

You must have effective communication, reporting and interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative, work under pressure and contribute toward the delivery of targets and objective set out for the service and contribute towards a continual improvement within the service.
