  An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Officer to lead, drive and deliver the Renfrewshire Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) and action plan. The post will be placed within the Energy Management Unit, Environment and Infrastructure however, there will be working across all service departments to ensure delivery. The post will be based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, however, this will be a hybrid working role.     You will lead, drive and take overall responsibility for the coordination of all strategy, policy and performance relating to the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) agenda and ensure that appropriate planning is deployed to support this new strategy.     Working closely with Council, local, regional and national partners, you will assist in delivering the LHEES which is crucial to Renfrewshire in meeting their Net Zero targets.     You will possess a degree or professional qualification in a relevant subject e.g. Energy Management or ability to demonstrate evidence equivalent level of knowledge/training/experience required to undertake this. You will be motivated, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team as well as working on your own initiative with minimum supervision.     You will be further able to demonstrate an awareness of the current climate change agenda and of the Local Heat & Energy Efficiency agenda as well as highly developed networking, partnership, advocacy, oral, written and presentation skills that are persuasive and influential with others. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate awareness of the current climate change agenda and of the Local Heat & Energy Efficiency agenda. You will possess Project management skills and a comprehensive working knowledge of key energy efficiency, climate change and sustainability issues facing Scottish local authorities and other public bodies.   Experience in working in an energy field or previous work within a local authority is desirable.     Please note this post is temporary for a minimum of 2 years.     If successful, you will be required to undergo a basic disclosure check.
