We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who has extensive experience of delivering a variety of standard and complex projects and has worked in a commercially sensitive environment within set timescales and deadlines. Main duties include managing and leading professional construction teams, in-house and external, for successful project delivery, ensuring implementation of corporate property related strategies, developing regular liaison with client representative, preparing management reports, and applying analytical and diagnostic reviews of these reports.

 

It is essential you have experience of working in a project management environment at a senior level with substantial post qualification experience in managing complex projects and/or multiple small projects to programme and budget, have detailed knowledge of project procurement processes, and experience of managing projects/programmes with conflicting priorities.

 

You will be required to demonstrate effective, negotiating, team building, communication, motivational and client management skills. You must have experience of managing projects/programmes with conflicting priorities, have extensive knowledge of the various roles within the construction industry, be committed to improving standards of excellence, be innovative, flexible and creative; possess a high level of commercial awareness, be analytical and have a proven track record of success at a senior level. You should be able to demonstrate in depth programme planning but also demonstrate the ability to be reactive and dynamic when change occurs.

 

You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of high-quality construction projects within cost, time, and quality parameters, working with the Programme Unit as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with the ability to work under pressure to meet agreed project deliverables. In addition, you will have a customer-focused, innovative, flexible approach to work, possess effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others and take initiative in resolving problems.

 

You must have the ability to work and contribute to formal internal procedures, proficient with industry wide IT systems including MS Office suite including Project whilst knowledge of document control systems such as Viewpoint, CAMIS is desirable.

 

It is essential that you are a full member of a recognised professional construction related body or institute (eg-RICS/ARB/RIBA/CIBSE/CIOB/APM-candidates must provide their valid membership number within the application form).

 

A full valid and current UK driving licence is also essential.

 

Knowledge of national corporate procurement, partnership contracting policy, legislation, and programmes, knowledge of public sector operations and procedures and knowledge of appropriate health & safety legislation is desirable.
