An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Housing Support Team.

 

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual, who will assist our Co-ordinator in the leadership and development of the team.

 

 

The main duties will be to supervise staff, establish supportive relationships with individuals, provide assessment focused on Better Futures Agenda, implement and review support plans for individuals, offering advice and help with all aspects of Housing Support. You will work closely with other team members including line management support; you will implement and monitor trauma-informed services delivered in-house and/or commissioned through the Independent Living Framework agreement.

 

 

You will maintain an awareness of and support the developments and philosophies relevant to the provision of quality housing support to our supported people. You must have effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team, knowledge of housing related issues, have experience in housing, social care, or health; working with service users who have chaotic lifestyles and may have specific or multiple social problems and liaising with a wide range of agencies. It is essential that you possess an SVQ Level 3, as approved by the Scottish Social Services Council for this grade of post.

 

 

Applicants must have an extended period of relevant experience in housing and homelessness, knowledge of the Housing Scotland Act 2001 and 2010 social care, or health, experience of working with service users in their own homes, experience of liaising with a wide range of agencies, a working knowledge of welfare rights and benefit issues, effective IT skills, the ability to carry out needs assessment and plan care, and the ability to organise their own workload and have an empathic, sensitive but practical attitude towards a broad range of individuals.
