This is a 39 week post, working hours will be during school term only, the salary will be pro-rated accordingly. Please note the salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).

Recruitment Profiles

The key role will be to support a hearing impaired teaching member of staff.

This will include aiding them in all of the classroom duties that would include speaking to the whole class on behalf of the teacher to ensure that they are able to understand all of the instructions given.
This specific role is to work 1-2-1 with a teacher in the Maths department, knowledge of Maths would be advantageous although not necessary.
The role will include attendance at INSET days, whole staff meetings dates for these can be shared in advance To support the teacher at Parents Evenings with communication to parents/carers

Essential

No formal qualifications are required, but an acceptable standard of school education is desirable. Additional Needs Assistants will be required to undertake on the job training as and when available.
