Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Council are looking for a HGV driver to work in the Roads Operations Team.
This job requires the post holder to deliver Services throughout the year across the area in Road Operations, undertaking driving duties relating to roads maintenance, construction and winter maintenance and to be contracted in to summer and winter out of hours emergencies rotas.
Essential
A basic education (Numeracy and literacy)
Certified relevant machinery and plant use qualification/s (i.e. Lantra certificates, NPTC, SVQ II, CSCS, CPCS or NPORS cards) or obtained within a reasonable period of time
You must have current driving licence, with either HGV Class C &C1, or Class F Good interpersonal skills Competent in the operation of Specialist Plant Machinery, co-ordination and delivery of a specialist area ie road gritting
