This is a term time post, the salary will be pro-rated accordingly. Please note the salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).
Please note this is Initially based at Kingsland Primary School, but could be asked to go anywhere in Tweeddale Cluster
Role Purpose
The purpose of the Education Worker (Deaf) is to work as an effective member of the support services team within a learning community, delivering high quality service which supports the integration of deaf pupils into mainstream education
Essential
Experience or formal qualification in sign language eg BSL/SSE/SEE/English, lip speaking, notetaking and/or language modification.
A commitment to work towards formal qualification in BSL
Having well developed, receptive and expressive skills.
