Role Purpose
Scottish Borders Council is seeking a talented individual with strong systems, analytical and financial capabilities to join our Estates Strategy Team. The post is based at Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
In this post you will undertake an important strategic and operational role with responsibility for the ongoing development and coordination of our property database system TechnologyForge (Civica).
You will be tasked with identifying and implementing system improvements to meet the Council's ever changing property needs, and will be the go to person for all TechnologyForge queries. Providing support, training and guidance to users while identifying areas for development to exploit the full potential of the system and build confidence in its capabilities will be a priority.
You will work collaboratively with departments, fostering strong relationships and playing a crucial role in the collection, distribution, analysis and interpretation of property and financial information in order to support informed decision-making.
This role supervises and mentors the Estates Strategy Assistant, and develops that role to become part of our high performing, Estate Strategy Team.
The successful candidate will be experienced in database management and demonstrate a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills in order to meet the demands of this varied and rewarding role.

Essential
HND/HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical or analytical discipline or substantial relevant experience
