This is a 38 week post, working hours will be during school term only, the salary will be pro-rated accordingly. Please note the salary advertised is full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).

Role Purpose

Carry out instructions from Cook on a daily basis, Set out dining room furniture where necessary, Lay tables for pupils’ lunch where necessary, Ensure cleanliness of work area and dining area, When instructed take food temperature and enter to appropriate form, Serve pupils quickly and efficiently, Clear away and dispose of waste food, Wash up all crockery, cutlery and containers, Clean and wash kitchen and dining room as per daily/weekly cleaning programme check list, Dispose of waste and rubbish in tied bags and place in refuse area, Operate tills, Any other duties as specified by the Cook .

Essential

Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate / RIPHH Certificate or must be willing to achieve within 6 months



A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
