Role profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Council's IT Client Team, the successful candidate will assist the IT Client Manager and wider team to ensure that IT continues to deliver high quality services and standards which satisfy business needs, by focusing on the creation, management and delivery of processes which will help to generate improvements to the Council.
• On behalf of the department, assist Senior Officers with the improvement and development of business processes, challenging current practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the delivery of IT Services, seeking solutions internally or external to the Council.
• Work with colleagues to undertake business process re-engineering to enhance processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and best practice within the IT Service.
• To conduct analysis on the current usage of telephony connections then propose and manage changes to reduce the number of connections and devices. • To work with SBC colleagues from the IT Client Team to determine the current usage of application licenses, including Microsoft Office 365 then propose and manage changes to reduce the number of licenses.
• To work with SBC colleagues from the IT Client Team to ensure that processes are in place which document IT related assets.
• This profile is indicative of the nature and level of responsibility associated with the post. It is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake such other duties as may be required by the IT Client Manager to meet the needs and responsibility of the Department and the Council.

Essential

• HNC in a related discipline, or other relevant qualification OR equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills necessary to undertake the role.
