Role Purpose

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Parks & Environment Service of Scottish Borders Council to appoint an Operations Manager (Berwickshire, Tweeddale and Eildon).

Responsible for managing the operational effectiveness of the Parks & Environment Service, the postholder will oversee operational service delivery in Grass Management, Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, Public Toilets, Play Facilities, Allotments and Bereavement Services across the three localities of Berwickshire, Tweeddale and Eildon.

This presents a significant opportunity to help lead the service and deliver change initiatives ensuring the continued development of a progressive, efficient and effective Parks & Environment Service that aligns with corporate objectives around Digital Transformation, Climate Change & Adaptation, Community empowerment and Financial sustainability.

Essential

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or evidence of comparable experience and training.

Membership of relevant Chartered Institute or equivalent or must be obtained within agreed timescale on appointment

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
