Role Purpose
An opportunity has arisen to be Team Leader in Adult Services in Eildon locality. The post is temporary - initially - for a period of nine months, to cover a training secondment. The Eildon locality is divided into two areas and this post covers the Northern area. You will line manage an Assistant Team Leader and a team of eleven Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Paraprofessionals and an OT assistant.
The main duties involve supervision, arranging Duty, overseeing Adult Support and Protection inquiries and investigations, allocation of work in relation to assessments, authorisation of support plans, provision of OT equipment and HR-related tasks, such as recruitment and matters such as authorisation of leave and recording periods of absence.
The team will require a practitioner with extensive fieldwork experience, good IT and data processing skills, complaint response experience, a thorough knowledge of adult protection and a commitment to fair and equitable work practices in a busy, demanding environment.
Essential
Recognised and approved qualification in Social Work / AHP or Nursing Registration with associated professional body.
Approved Council Officer under Adult Support and Protection or ability to obtain approval.
SSSC Registration
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
