Job Description

What is the role?

Customer Services within South Ayrshire Council is a fast-paced environment and working in this role you need to be completely customer focused and willing to go above and beyond to ensure you deliver the best service possible to each and every customer.

Our advisors need to be flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing nature of the service, working across a vast range of enquiry areas, multiple ICT systems, and interacting with customers by phone, digitally, and face-to-face, from a range of locations.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working in a similar role and can demonstrate strong ICT skills and skills in handling complex customer enquiries using a range of communication methods.

Training and equipment will be provided to accommodate a hybrid working model however, you will require internet access at home. Please note that whilst training you will require to work full time in an office.

The Grade of these posts is Grade 2 / Level 5; the hourly rate is from £13.76 to £14.85 and the annual salary is from £25,112 to £27,101.

Post A - Customer Service Advisor x2 - Permanent

Post B - Customer Service Advisor - Temporary - This post is temporary until 31 March 2025.

The successful candidates will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
