What is the role?

Information and Advice Hub Senior Advisor

Post is based in Ayr however, occasional travel throughout South Ayrshire may be required.

The Information and Advice Hub offers free, impartial, and confidential welfare benefits and money/debt advice services to residents across South Ayrshire. Working in this role you need to be completely customer focussed and willing to go above and beyond to provide innovative solutions that surpass customer expectations. The post holder will be required to interact with customers by phone, digitally, and face-to-face and we are looking for advisors who possess excellent communication skills and the ability navigate and address the diverse needs of each customer. The role is fast paced, and our senior advisors need to be flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing nature of the advice service and have the drive and determination to achieve performance standards.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have a background in welfare benefits or money advice however, we are also keen to hear from candidate that can demonstrate significant experience within an advice or support role. As a senior advisor, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to customers in navigating complex financial situations, therefore a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations is essential in order to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 8; the hourly rate is from £17.38 to £18.93 and the annual salary is from £15,859 - £17,273. Please note this post is temporary until December 2024.

The successful candidate will primarily work from home with occasional travel within the South Ayrshire area. Frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
