JOB DESCRIPTION
South Ayrshire is situated in a beautiful location in Scotland with easy access to road and rail networks. Our diverse area includes the towns of Ayr, Girvan, Maybole, Prestwick and Troon as well as small rural villages, coastline and farmland. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in school leadership and improving outcomes for children, combined with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead both Ballantrae and Colmonell primaries as a shared headship. Both schools are non-denominational and are situated in the Girvan and South Carrick area of the authority. Ballantrae Primary has a roll of around 65 and Colmonell Primary has a roll of 35, including the Early Years Centres. Both schools are part of the Girvan Academy cluster. The schools have a culture of ambition, high expectations and achievement for all children.

REQUIREMENTS
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
