What is the role?

Children’s Health, Care and Justice Services in South Ayrshire is on an exciting transformational journey to provide the best possible outcomes for children and families through relationship based, family and community centred care. The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10 with an hourly rate from £20.71 to £21.79 and an annual salary from - £37,796 to £39,767.

Working within our Initial Response Team, you will be part of a team of workers managing all new referrals into the Children and Families Social Work Service. With support and oversight of the Team Leader, your role will primarily centre around screening new referrals, making initial inquiries with children, families and partner agencies in offering follow up advice, support, assessment and planning as determined.

Applicants should preferably have experience of working within a Children and Families Social Work setting and be experienced to a level in which they are able to lead on and undertake child protection investigations. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
