Job Description

What is the role?

To undertake duties connected to the enhancement of South Ayrshire’s town centres and targeted neighbourhoods. This includes supervision of a small team of Trainees whose duties will include litter removal, power washing, weeding, hoeing, graffiti removal, fly-tipping removal, chewing gum removal, and removal of sharps, removal of dog fouling, litter bin maintenance /cleaning, painting, grounds maintenance and any other duties requested by the Service Coordinator.

To assist with and provide support to Town Centre events and staff.

To undertake driving duties and be responsible for the crew and the vehicle on a daily basis.

To liaise with Employability & Skills Officers to record/monitor trainees participation and progress.

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 5; the hourly rate is from £13.76 to £14.85 and the annual salary is from £25.112 to £27,101.
Please note that this post is temporary until 31 March 2025.
