Housing and Technical Resources. 5 posts in total Location: East Kilbride Local Housing Office, Civic Centre, East Kilbride Hamilton Local Housing Office, Brandongate, Hamilton Cambuslang Local Housing Office, Cambuslangate Clydesdale Local Housing Office, South Vennel Homeless Access and Assessment Service, Brandongate Duration: Fixed Term: 2 year programme Hours: 35 hours per week The start of something big! You need at least: 3 standard grades level 3 or above / 3 national 5 qualifications including English and Maths or equivalent, relevant experience. A commitment to learning and ambition to succeed. These vacancies are restricted to applicants who have recently attended a South Lanarkshire Council School and/or live in the South Lanarkshire Area. You must either be 16 years of age by 01/07/2024 and must be no older than 19 years of age by 04/08/2024. Or if you are disabled or care experienced and aged between 20 to 29 years of age by 04/08/2024, you may be eligible to apply if you meet the rest of the criteria, as South Lanarkshire Council and Skills Development Scotland recognise that disabled people and those who are care experienced can face challenges on their career journey. In care means you are or were formally looked after by a local authority, in the family home (with support from social services or a social worker) or elsewhere, for example, in foster care, residential/secure care, or kinship care (with family friends or relatives). As part of our approach to good practice and safer recruitment we carry out a number of pre-employment checks for example, Identity, Asylum and Immigration and employment history etc. As this post involves accessing the public services network, the preferred candidate will be subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS). The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
